In fact, one can enter virtually any medical field at the entry level with a certification program. Here is a look at several medical careers that may be obtained through training.

Medical Assistant. Medical Assisting is another popular career, stemming from the need to provide quality, reliable healthcare at an effective cost. Medical assistants provide basic medical services to patients, as well as perform administrative duties in order to aid the physician. Medical assisting requires at least 1 to 2 years of training at a community college, vocational school, or hospital.

Training programs consist of course work in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as transcription, bookkeeping, and insurance processing. Upon completion of training programs, medical assistants may take a certification exam to earn the title of Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
